On 6th February 2019, a debate competition was organized at the GBSSS, JJ Colony, Wazirpur. The theme for the competition was road safety and the topic given was "Do we need to follow road safety rules in case of emergency or not".

several teams took part in the debate competition and a team of 5 students from class VIIth A topped the competition and another team from VIIIth A became runner up.
